Feed the Minds
Feed the Minds works with Christian partners throughout the developing world, promoting literacy, supporting the local production of literature and other media, training church leaders for effective ministry, tackling HIV/AIDS and promoting reconciliation.
FTM works with Christian churches and groups who are at the heart of local communities delivering education, practical help and pastoral care to all people, regardless of race, colour or faith.
FTM works for peace where there is conflict and for reconciliation where there is division, by financing projects to restore livelihoods and rebuild trust.
"Be transformed by the renewing of your minds" Romans 12.2
When a population becomes educated, they become a powerful opposition to corrupt governments; they become politically aware and are able to control their destiny.
EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SOLVING SO MANY PROBLEMS, from achieving universal primary education, gender equality, material health and environmental sustainability, through combating HIV/AIDS and malaria, and reducing child mortality.
FEED THE MINDS continues to support education and communication projects in many of the poorest countries of the world.
Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God" Matthew 5.9 Across the world there are Christians, alongside people of other faiths and none, who are committed to building peace where there is conflict, and reconciliation where fear and violence have torn communities apart.
FEED THE MINDS continues to support our partners in Sudan, Iraq, Palestine/Israel, Afghanistan, the Great Lakes region of Africa, and other areas where tension, segregation or fighting has caused destruction to physical infrastructure; displacement, or devastation to human dignity.
FTM has prioritised projects aiming to restore livelihoods, and to rebuilding trust and cooperation.
Over the coming months and years FTM will be actively seeking to finance projects that meet the urgent and increasing need for peace-building.
In many parts of the world, Christians are answering Jesus' call to be peacemakers. They are working towards true "Shalom" by improving the material, social, and spiritual well-being of people living in environments of suspicion, ignorance and fear.
FTM's "BUIDING PEACE" Fund will provide resources to trusted partners overseas to help improve understanding between people of different faiths and cultural backgrounds.
Please join FEED THE MINDS in a renewed commitment to the Prince of Peace by praying for our partners and for the Building Peace initiatives.
